Two-thirds of adults find U.S. government spending excessive, especially regarding aid to Ukraine. However, more than half say the government is spending too little on education, assistance for the poor, and Medicare.
While the public approves of Medicare negotiating to reduce the cost drugs, President Biden doesn’t get much credit with 48% who approve of his handling of prescription drugs prices.
The economy is a weak point for Biden within his own party, especially among young Democrats. Just 47% of Democrats under age 45 approve of his handling of the economy.
