While the public continues to be largely negative in its assessment of the economy and President Biden’s handling of it, most people do not hold Biden’s policies responsible for high prices.

President Biden’s approval ratings and the public’s view of the economy have improved slightly, although 72% still say the country is headed in the wrong direction.

Nearly all Republicans feel the country and economy are headed in the wrong direction. Three-quarters of Democrats agree.

Just 21% feel the county is headed in the right direction and the economic outlook at its lowest point in an AP-NORC poll since 2019.
