Many in the AAPI community think Donald Trump has gone too far with his immigration policies. And, with cost of living a source of stress for the vast majority of AAPI adults, few think Trump’s policies have helped alleviate their economic concerns.
Economic and personal finance issues, immigration, and health care are the top policy priorities AAPI adults want the government to address in 2026. And while most are pessimistic about the overall state of the country, economy, and healthcare, they are more positive about their own situation.
Most AAPI adults cite the importance of the economy, jobs, and inflation, and few approve of how Trump is handling them. AAPI support for the administration’s immigration enforcement tactics is low.
