While the public approves of Medicare negotiating to reduce the cost drugs, President Biden doesn’t get much credit with 48% who approve of his handling of prescription drugs prices.
Only 19% of the public are extremely or very confident that the Justice Department is handling its investigation of Hunter Biden in a fair and non-partisan manner. Seventy-nine percent of Republicans and 29% of Democrats have little or no confidence in the fairness of the investigation.
Three-quarters of the public think Joe Biden is too old to serve another term, including 69% of Democrats.
Most adults remain in favor of universal background checks, red flag laws, and semi-automatic rifle bans.
Just over half of Democrats do not want to see Biden run again in 2024, though a large majority say they will support him if he is the nominee.
