Religion and the pandemic

While the pandemic persists, life in religious congregations is showing signs of slowly returning to normal. Twenty-one percent of adults attend weekly religious services in-person, up from 5% in the spring of 2020.

How important is religion to Americans?

Among those Americans without a connection to organized religion, 59% say religion was at least somewhat important in their family when they were children and 44% feel at least somewhat connected with their spirituality.
